The greenhouse was built to fit immediately adjacent to the rear (and unfortunately north) face of the 2 story house measuring 20 x 38 ft. The high corrugated lexan roof captures the sun all day. Everything is bolted and screwed together so it could be relocated. When the two halves are re-assembled as a free standing greenhouse it will be 19 x 40ft with a 19 x 20 ft second floor area possible (no floor to block light). Perhaps I'll call it the 'Orchid Barn'. The greenhouse has 8 'homerun' electric circuits to power the oil filled radiator type heaters used during the winter. Windows are double glazed and walls are insulated with 3.5 inch rigid insulation. The end panels have double layers polyethylene. The underside of the rafters have poly for the winter. The hanging area has chain link fence on the ceiling and for hanging orchids. The west end has a 4 x 20 ft wet wall. Two 'curtains' of the chain link hang near the wet wall for mounted orchids preferring cooler temps.
